Marine Fenders’ Frontal Panels
Frontal Panels are generally of fabricated steel composite beam construction. Most fender panels are "closed box" and "open box panels" structures. Therein, closed box structure, which is the most popular type, is comprised of front and back plates plus a series of vertical and horizontal stiffening members.
The design of each Frontal Panel is used for the special individual berth. The design will depend on the composite factors, include the type of quay and vessel, berthing mode, fender's arrangement, hydrographic condition, and so on. Meanwhile, the final size of frontal panel also should consider the standard size of UHMW-PE in order to save cost.
The forms for the Frontal Panel arrangement: Horizontal Arrangement,Vertical Arrangement, and Combination arranement.
UHMW-PE Pads for Frontal Panel
UHMW-PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) frontal pad provide the higher abrasion resistac with low-friction properties, manufactured and mchined in sizes to suit the steel frontal panel. They are fixed to the panel generally with stainless steel studs that are welded to the skin of the steel panel.
Our UHMW-PE is strongest and toughest for marine application. The UHMW-PE normally arrives on site pre-fitted to the steel frontal panel. UHMW-PE is available in many colors, such as black, yellow, blue, red or orange and so on.
There are three type of facing pad: Corner Pad, Edge Pad, Flat Pad.
